Activity Overview

The experience begins within Rincón de la Vieja National Park, where guests will embark on a guided hike through the renowned Las Pailas Trails. This approximately two-hour journey offers a remarkable introduction to the volcano’s geothermal activity, featuring fumaroles, bubbling mud pots, and steam vents, all set within a unique and diverse ecosystem.

Following the hike, guests will transfer to Hacienda Guachipelín, where a carefully prepared lunch will be served in a relaxed and scenic setting—an ideal moment to unwind and recharge after the morning’s exploration.

The experience concludes with a visit to the impressive La Cangreja Waterfall. Nestled within the surrounding forest and celebrated for its striking blue-toned waters, this final stop provides a serene and refreshing conclusion to a day immersed in Costa Rica’s natural beauty.

Departure from Waldorf Astoria must be made at 7am or at 8:30am to enjoy the facilities and the schedules adventure for the trip.
