Our Commitment

Our Captain
At the helm of La Cernia is our captain, native from Italy with over 34 years of experience navigating the world’s oceans aboard luxury yachts and large vessels. Trained and certified at the prestigious Nautical School of Genoa, he holds valuable qualifications in yachting, cruising, and advanced maritime operations.
Passionate about the sea, he later specialized in sport fishing, mastering the diverse species found in Costa Rica’s waters. For six years, he shared his knowledge as a professor at INA, teaching sport fishing before moving into offshore fishing with a unique focus on jigging techniques.
Having spent nearly 27 years exploring and mastering the Papagayo Peninsula and its surroundings, our captain is not only highly trained but also deeply connected to the region. His experience extends to serving in the Costa Rica Aquatic Emergency Brigade, adding another layer of security and professionalism to every journey.
