Our Bird Watching at Bijagua experience takes you deep into the extraordinary ecosystems of the renowned Tapir Valley Nature Reserve, one of Costa Rica’s most important conservation areas for wildlife observation and birdwatching.
 

Located approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes from the resort, this natural preserve protects a remarkable mosaic of habitats including primary rainforest, secondary jungle, open pastures, and wetlands—creating ideal conditions for an exceptional diversity of bird species and wildlife.
 

During this immersive experience, guests will explore more than 5 kilometers of well-maintained trails accompanied by an expert naturalist guide. Elevated observation platforms strategically positioned throughout the reserve allow for comfortable and optimal wildlife viewing opportunities, increasing the chances of spotting colorful tropical birds, migratory species, mammals, amphibians, and unique flora native to the region.
